If you are just getting started,  it is hard to know where to start.  Let me suggest that the biggest obstacle to most people is what they have in their heads.  Getting your head straight is always a good first step.  If you have read these books, wonderful and if not, get started.

Each one will cover a different aspect of dealing with people and helping you focus on getting what you want out of life. These skills are basic to becoming job optional.  They won’t, in themselves, make you job optional but they will put you on the path to becoming the kind of person you will need to become on the way.

The first is The Magic of Thinking Big by Dr. David Schwartz.

The second is How to Win Friends and Influence People, By Dale Carnegie.

The third is How to Have Confidence and Power in Dealing with People, By Les Giblin.

The fourth is How I Raised Myself from Failure to Success in Selling, by Frank Bettger.

The fifth is Positive Personality Profiles, By Dr. Robert Rohm.
